The Resistances

The Germans came with all brute force
Then the Japanese came and ran their course
They came like a giant, rumbling wave
They thought all other races must behave

They tortured and killed the countries they seized
And because of this, Hitler was very pleased
But the torturing and killing, the country’s citizens would not permit
So a resistance to hoard them off was submit

They would go in night and blow up trains
Or free prisoners from their chains
Some resistances succeeded
But always more men were needed

The Yugoslavian resistance whole-heartedly won
And had retaken most all of it’s country before the war was done
But others were destroyed in a single blow
For the Nazis outnumbered them one to a hundred or so

And some claimed victory and some failed
And some died for their cause and others greatly prevailed
But all did their part in the great resistance
Every single one gave some assistance

Even if they weren’t a soldier, they still did their part
Each one gave something from deep down in their heart
Without these people you would not be where you are today
You might be under a ruler that you must obey

So be happy you’re free and can make your own choices
Be happy that you can speak to different voices
For freedom is something we take for granted
But without it you’d think it’s enchanted

History, that we must not ignore, The Civil War

There is a certain war that happened in the Usa
Where brothers and friends fought against each other in battle array
The war started because the South was seceding
But in the end what they got was a whole lot of bleeding

The war really started at the battle of Bull Run
And there on that day, men from both sides fell one by one
Then came the epic battle of the Monitor and the Merrimac
But nether one won because they had warning of the attack

Then came the battle at Fredericksburg, a bloody one at that
Where the Union lost, even with their superior combat
The Union in the end won this long war
And Slaves were men’s property no more

This my friend is the Civil War
It is a part of history we must not ignore

A Slave's Fear, A Slave's Tear

The day was over, finally the slaves could speak
Their clothes of tobacco and dirt they did reek
They talked of how every day they were sent, in chains
To work in for their master out in the plains.

Then in the dark of their house they looked to prayer
For that was their refuge, the only thing they had out there
They prayed that they, the slaves
Would not soon be sent to their graves.

The next day one of the children fell
He had been beaten harshly and fell with a yell
What hit the ground first was his head
And from then on he was dead.

Every day with dread
The slaves would lift their heads
They would always pray
That the next person would not be they.

The Holocaust from a bird's perspective

The Lark alighted on a branch
He looked around to find he was on a ranch
All around him were men with green cloths
They walked toward men with gold stars on their robes

The men in green had guns a-plenty
The men with stars seemed the age of twenty
Then the men in green pointed their guns, and shot the men with the stars
The men in green then drove away in their cars

The bird wondered "why would humans treat each other this way ? "
"Wouldn't the humans want the others to stay ? "
"And what about the family and friends of those people, what would they have to say ? "
" Oh dear lord this is an odd world, we really have to pray ".

" What will you reply "

A poem with no rhyme
A race with no time
A song without a singer
A bell without a ringer

The things in life that are out of place
With no one willing to replace
Every one walks by, they have their own things to do
No one cares, they’ll worry about their own brew

An unpaid bill without a debt
A poker game without a bet
A horse without a rider
A web without a spider

As the years go by we have less expectations
And we have to do less for a congratulations
The machines have come and can do it all
Us, we’re hardly expected to catch a ball

A newborn without a mother
Who will soon become a foster brother
A murderer without correction
A death without reflection

Human lives are taken for granted
People only worry about having more trees planted
If you kill a deer it’s considered evil design
But if you have an abortion it’s totally fine

A soldier with no name
A man killed without blame
An uncured disease
A beehive without the bees

We thrive on our own petty lives
So we hope the One true will not soon arrive
For when He comes, He will judge us all
And some will go up and some will fall

A martyr without a god
A soldier without a squad
A killing without reason
A friend committing treason

Some will choose to go down the bumpy, narrow road
And unto them God will have heavenly gifts bestowed
But some will choose the wide, smooth path
And unto them God will unleash his wrath

So choose today what road you walk
But make it quick, the clock is counting Tick! Tock!
I’ve given you the question but the answer is yours alone
“Will you choose to go to the Heavenly throne?”

Now before you answer “YES!”
Let me tell you it will be hard to achieve success
For the narrow road is not an easy one
But it’s easier than it was, thanks to God’s Son

The life is hard and the costs are high
So what to this question will you reply?
