The Holocaust from a bird's perspective

The Lark alighted on a branch
He looked around to find he was on a ranch
All around him were men with green cloths
They walked toward men with gold stars on their robes

The men in green had guns a-plenty
The men with stars seemed the age of twenty
Then the men in green pointed their guns, and shot the men with the stars
The men in green then drove away in their cars

The bird wondered "why would humans treat each other this way ? "
"Wouldn't the humans want the others to stay ? "
"And what about the family and friends of those people, what would they have to say ? "
" Oh dear lord this is an odd world, we really have to pray ".
