" What will you reply "

A poem with no rhyme
A race with no time
A song without a singer
A bell without a ringer

The things in life that are out of place
With no one willing to replace
Every one walks by, they have their own things to do
No one cares, they’ll worry about their own brew

An unpaid bill without a debt
A poker game without a bet
A horse without a rider
A web without a spider

As the years go by we have less expectations
And we have to do less for a congratulations
The machines have come and can do it all
Us, we’re hardly expected to catch a ball

A newborn without a mother
Who will soon become a foster brother
A murderer without correction
A death without reflection

Human lives are taken for granted
People only worry about having more trees planted
If you kill a deer it’s considered evil design
But if you have an abortion it’s totally fine

A soldier with no name
A man killed without blame
An uncured disease
A beehive without the bees

We thrive on our own petty lives
So we hope the One true will not soon arrive
For when He comes, He will judge us all
And some will go up and some will fall

A martyr without a god
A soldier without a squad
A killing without reason
A friend committing treason

Some will choose to go down the bumpy, narrow road
And unto them God will have heavenly gifts bestowed
But some will choose the wide, smooth path
And unto them God will unleash his wrath

So choose today what road you walk
But make it quick, the clock is counting Tick! Tock!
I’ve given you the question but the answer is yours alone
“Will you choose to go to the Heavenly throne?”

Now before you answer “YES!”
Let me tell you it will be hard to achieve success
For the narrow road is not an easy one
But it’s easier than it was, thanks to God’s Son

The life is hard and the costs are high
So what to this question will you reply?

  1. Jesse, I am amazed at all you do. You will reach many with your words of truth, and soon you will be singing these songs God is giving you, as the music begins to flow like the words.
God bless you and your life in Christ. You are a joy. Love,
    Nana
